The Rooms

Featuring seven individually designed bedrooms each with their own unique style, Mackay’s Rooms is exclusive, relaxed, and packed with charm and atmosphere.

The Rooms are the ultimate experience of simple luxury and comfort. Each room features a unique combination of tweed sofas, quirky chairs (a passion), large handmade feather-topped beds, quality linen and oak floors. For our more sensitive guests we offer feather-free rooms with premium merino blankets.

Each room features an outstanding en-suite bathroom with exceptional features including beautiful fittings and products for your use. Each room features either a grand size bath or shower to enjoy after a long day in the hills, on the beach or hitting golf balls.

At Mackay’s we work endlessly to create a contemporary Highland escape where our guests have no choice but to relax and feel at home.

Eating and Drinking

Breakfast is freshly prepared each morning using the very best seasonal, local and organic ingredients. Our breakfast menu changes daily – if you have special dietary requirements please let us know and we will be thrilled to provide something wonderful for you. We can also offer preordered picnic lunches on request.

We offer full drinks service to our guests. The perfect way to relax after a full day, feet up, peat fire roaring and dram in hand! Unfortunately we no longer offer dinner options, but we are still passionate about providing good food and exceptional service in other ways. Please be aware that dining options this far North are limited but we will be happy to advise you on your best options nevertheless.

Before you book

• Most rooms are two people only
• We have one family room which sleeps two adults and two small children (or one adult)
• Check-in from 4pm on day of arrival and check-out by 11am on your final day
• We are dog friendly, two dogs maximum per room with a £15.00 per dog cleaning fee
• Laundry service available
• Off-street parking available
• Free wifi and TV in each room
• A deposit is required to confirm your booking and you must make a balance payment 14 days prior to arrival.
